The much awaited Aakash Tablet (commercial version) or the Ubislate as the Datawind (manufacturers of the tablet call it) will be available to the public by the end of November. The information was made available through an E-mail response by one of the Datawind Support Executive. According to the Email received, the Ubislate which will be in market will have a few more features than the one which will be distributed by the government to the students. The new Ubislate will provide you with an option to insert and use SIM card to make phone walls, which will be absent in the Aakash tablet for students.
The Ubislate will cost the common man Rs. 2999 (not even Rs. 3000).
PS: The above information is in reference to the non-subsidized version of the Tablet. It will have the provision to insert SIM card and use it as a phone and will cost Rs. 2999.
So who is planning to buy it now?
