Top 5 ways to share your files with Family and Friends

Here are the top 5 ways to share your files, documents, photos, videos and all such stuff with your family and friends, securely.

1. E-Mail

I still consider Email is the best sharing tool. Its not just meant to exchange Hellos and Where-abouts but also your personal documents and photos. With allowable size of attachments increasing and inbox space increasing even more, you can easily share your files with your loved ones using E-mails. Many people consider sharing files over mail a not-so-interesting method, but mind you, E-mail is one of the best and most secure place to store and share your stuff. My choice here would be: Gmail, Yahoo Mail and Rediff Mail.

2. File Hosts.

Another and one of the most popular methods of sharing files these days is the use of file hosts. These are the sites that let you upload your files and then give you a link which you can share with people you want to download that File. Best part about these file hosts is that they allow you to upload anything and provide you ample of data storage (normally around 100 GB). Another reason to use these sites is the fact that they don’t allow search engines to index your links nor allow other users to search for your files. The files stored are 100% private and can only be downloaded by people who have the link. I would recommend: MediaFire, SendMyWay and Fileserve.

3. DropBox

This is the latest method and gaining popularity very fast. It has been launched on various platforms including Android. The main motive of this service is to enable you to upload and download files from your own account anytime and anywhere. The service providers provide you with a fair amount of space. You may upload anything you want and download the stuff anywhere and anytime you want. Although its less of sharing and more of carrying but if you are comfortable sharing your password, its one of the best deal you can make.

4. Youtube and Picasa

YouTube is the best and the most popular video watching site on the Internet. The fact that Google owns it now, gives it even more authority. You can use YouTube to share your videos with the world. Similar there is another good site called Megavideo. If you don’t want to share you videos with the world and want to keep them personal, YouTube and megavideo provide that option too. Just tick the check box that says private and everything is cool. Similarly Picasa can be used for photos of all kind.

5. Ancient method of Discs and USB drives
